Dentistry Faculty of Tishk International University on 25 May held a national seminar under the title “Basic Tips in Dental Implantology”, which was attended by Dr. Idris Hadi Salih TIU’s Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Duran Kala, Dean of Dentistry Faculty, Dr. Lezan Dawood, Polyclinic Manager, Dentistry Faculty staff and students, as well as Dentists of different specialties.
The seminar was presented by consultant prof. Dr. Othman Abubakir, PhD, Head of Maxillofacial and Implantology Department at Rizgari Hospital and Head of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine department at the College of Dentistry, HMU, and Dr. Rebuar Fadhil, Msc, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist at TIU’s Faculty of Dentistry.
In the beginning of the event, Dr. Idris Hadi delivered a speech in which he welcomed the keynote speakers and the participants, thanked the Dentistry Faculty for arranging such an important and informative academic event for dentists and students from the university and beyond. He also commended the Dentistry Faculty for the continuous achievements and progress that have made it one of the most outstanding faculties in the region.
The first session was presented by Dr. Othman Abubakir, who discussed the surgical procedure of Dental implantology and tips to get better desired results. The second session was presented by Dr. Rebuar Fadhil, who focused on the treatment planning and the newest diagnosing strategies that must be used to achieve the best outcomes and avoid complications.
At the end of the seminar a scientific competition was organized for the participants using ‘’Kahoot Online Quizzes’’, after which three winners were awarded.
