Faculty of Nursing Promotes Health Awareness Through Community Project

Shayan: On February 27, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University organized a community health project at Shinirwe Combined Secondary School, focusing on the importance of early detection and self-care practices. As part of this initiative, a seminar titled “Breast Self-Examination for Early Detection of Breast Cancer” was presented.

The seminar aimed to educate students on the significance of routine breast self-examinations, highlighting how early detection can lead to better treatment outcomes. Through clear explanations and practical demonstrations, the presenters provided students with essential knowledge and encouraged open discussions about women’s health.

The session received an overwhelmingly positive response, with students and teachers expressing their gratitude for this valuable learning experience. This project reflects the Faculty of Nursing’s ongoing commitment to promoting health education and fostering community engagement.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Shinirwe Combined Secondary School for their collaboration and to Ms. Marwa Saadi Abdullah and Ms. Dilan Jamal Nuri for their dedication and efforts. Their contribution has made a lasting impact, empowering students with knowledge that can benefit their health and well-being.
