Shayan: Under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, the head of Board of Trustees of Tishk International University, and in the presence of Dr. Saman Barzinji, the Minister of Health, Dr. Amanj Saeed, the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Dlovan Muhammad, the Director of Erbil Health Department, Dr. Nooradin Ismail, President of Hawler Medical University, Dr. Duran Kala, TIU’s Dean of Dentistry Faculty, in addition to the presidents of several universities and Deans of the Faculties, the fifth conference of Dentistry Faculty (The National Conference of Oral Science “ NCOS” ) was held on May 12th, 2022, in Erbil.
Organized under the slogan “When Science Meets Art”, the conference was composed of four sessions in which three international speakers and 10 researchers gave their presentation. Meanwhile, a Dental Materials exhibition took place on the sidelines of the event.

More than 800 participants from around Kurdistan, Iraq, Turkey, and India participated in the conference. The NCOS aimed to publish all aspects of oral science and interdisciplinary fields, including basic, applied and clinical research.
The National Conference of Oral Sciences (NCOS) aimed to gather and contribute researchers, practitioners, educators, and scholars with interests in any fields of dentistry at all levels from around the world. The NCOS 2022 conference was designed to attract the research communities to promote connections between theory and practice and explore different perspectives on the application of research findings into different dental and educational practices.
