National Workshop Held on ‘Mapping Learning Outcomes and ECTS Calculation’
TIU’s Dentistry Faculty on 2nd February held a workshop under title of “Mapping Learning Outcomes and ECTS Calculations” for academic staff to help them with course catalog (syllabus) design based on Bologna Process.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Ranj Nadhim Jalal, teaching staff members of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of TIU’s Dentistry Faculty.
A total of 20 members of the academic staff of Dentistry Faculty of the TIU, as well as several other participants from Hawler Medical University took part in the workshop which was composed of two main sessions:
- A Brief Introduction of the ECTS and learning outcomes.
- Hands-on training about formulating the learning outcomes according to Bloom’s taxonomy and counting ECTS)
The workshop mainly aimed at defining learning outcomes, discussing assessment tools and conducting calculations based on ECTS scale.
